Mr. C’s Super Sekrit Gun Oil – First Impressions

Mr. C was kind enough to offer free samples of his Super Sekrit Gun Oil for testing and review. I received mine in the mail today and immediately stripped and cleaned an AR and my Bodyguard 380 in preparation to try out this oil.
I do believe my first reaction, after applying this oil to my AR was something along the lines of “this is slicker than shit!”
Mr. C’s Super Sekrit Gun Oil is a special blend of synthetic and petroleum products, along with some special secret “herbs and spices” that produces an extremely smooth low friction sliding action. A very small amount goes a long way, and you can actually feel the added smoothness in many cases. [Full product description here]
From what I can tell so far, the oil acts as described above. It is extremely slick, and has even made the sound of charging the AR somewhat more quiet. There is absolutely no felt friction between the bolt carrier and the receiver when sliding it in and out by hand. So far, I’m impressed.
I will be able to get out to the range next weekend, and I will be putting this stuff through a few hundred rounds of .223 and a box or so of .38o. Come back in a couple weeks for a full review!

I don’t watch a whole lot of TV. That time that most people like I spend watching TV, I usually like to do something else, a little more engaging than just staring at the TV. That said, I do still enjoy a good TV show from time to time, and some of those times I get really engaged with them.
I was enthralled with LOST. Not when it first aired but sometime between the 5th and 6th seasons. We discovered it on Netflix streaming and watched 5 seasons in about a month and a half. Next was getting caught up on the Tudors, and Deadwood. Then Game of Thrones on HBO came out and I loved it. Now? Nothing.
I started watching American Horror Story a few weeks ago when it started. If the next episode falls on its ass again I’m done with it. The first episode of season two of the Walking Dead was last night. It was alright. Enough to keep me interested, not enough to go nuts about.
I also just picked up Army of Darkness on BluRay for $15! It’s been 10+ years since I’ve seen it. I forgot how awesome it is.

1. 1985 Camaro Z28 – It was metallic blue and silver, with T-Tops and cosmetically was in good condition, the motor was junk and soon replaced with a rebuilt 350.
2. All sorts of great adventures, usually involving the smell of burning tires. My only speeding tickets ever were in that car.
3. It drank about $20 worth of gas every other day, and that was when gas was $1.30 a gallon or so. I couldn’t afford to feed it any more, and bought a more economical car. It sat at my parents house for a while, until I sold it to a friend. He’s overseas right now. Not sure if he still has the car or not.

Police Officer Shoots a Restrained Dog

This video shows it happen. Don’t click play if you don’t want to see it.
A few observations: the dog was calm, and only got riled up when Officer Asshole stuck the dogcatcher’s pole in its face. The dog was tied to the truck. It was not going anywhere. I would bet you, they could have walked right up to the dog and started petting it and been completely OK. The officers escalated the situation with the pole. Once they got the pole on it, THEN and only THEN did it put up any type of fight. You would struggle if someone put one of those things around your neck as well. It’s even worse for the dog because it doesn’t understand – all it would know is it’s trapped.
Then Officer Asshole pulls his firearm and shoots the dog WHILE IT IS STANDING STILL. I hope he’s fired and prosecuted for animal cruelty.
